Tim Worgan Is Appointed Dean of Students and Residence
Tim Worgan has been an integral part of Innis College since joining the team in 1999, and serving as Assistant to the Dean for the past six years. With a Masters in Education from the University of Toronto, and having worked in the education field for over 30 years, Worgan has the student programming expertise needed to develop a first-class student experience at Innis College.
Over the past year, Worgan has served as the Acting Dean of Students and Residence at Innis College and in May 2010, he was appointed Dean of Students and Residence. With a focus on both student and residence affairs, Worgan is committed to enhancing student programming for both commuter and non-commuter students. Included among these efforts is the enhancement of extensive student programming, the increase in mentorship programming for first-year students and international students, and the introduction of a new leadership program.
Innis College is delighted to officially welcome Worgan as Dean of Students and Residence. Worgan succeeds former residence dean Garry Spencer, who retired from the University of Toronto in May 2009.
