Jennifer Kim

Class of 2006 – HBSc, Innis

Jennifer Kim graduated with distinction with a double Major in Life Sciences and Psychology. However, Innis College was not initially part of her plan. It was while following her cousin to a March Break campus tour that Jennifer fell in love with the St. George campus and realized that Innis College was where she had to be. Through some persistence and persuasive letter writing she was accepted to the school long past the application deadline. As it turns out, says Jennifer, “I absolutely loved Innis. They just couldn’t get rid of me!” She lived all four undergraduate years at the Innis Residence and worked three years as a Residence Assistant.

In the fall of 2006, Jennifer was accepted into Osgoode Hall Law School. However, she decided to alter the course of her life and follow her heart. She declined law school to become an actress. Jennifer has recently completed shooting her first film, entitled “Souvenirs from Asia.” She plays the lead role of Hanjoo Somerfield, a disgruntled teenager adopted from Korea . The film is likely to make a festival run in spring/summer 2007.
