Mental Health and Romance [ A Toronto Epidemic? ]

Film Screening Followed by Discussion

Innis College presents a screening of I’m Okay, an anti-romantic comedy that deals with both romance and mental health, by alumnus Curt Jaimungal (BSc 2013 INNIS).

The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring mental health professionals that will not only provide awareness to this growing epidemic but give actionable steps to anyone suffering. Panelists include Dr. Allan Peterkin (Professor, Department of Psychiatry), Dr. Sakina Rizvi (Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry), Cristina Jaimungal (PhD Candidate, OISE), and Jacalyn Kelly (UTGSU Mental Health Advocacy Committee).

The first 30 audience members will get an exclusive, custom-designed tote bag by Ave Mariabell Designs and Peace Collective as well as a one-of-a-kind “I’m Okay” novelty items.
