A Q&A, moderated by Lee Maracle, will follow the screening, featuring:

Don McKellar, producer Tina Keeper, Chief Patricia Faries, cast member Tanaya Beatty, and Joseph Boyden, author of the Giller Prize-winning novel from which the screenplay was adapted.

“Through Black Spruce” explores the way a young Cree woman’s disappearance triggers events in two worlds: in Moosonee, the remote Northern Ontario community she fled years ago, and Toronto, where she modelled before vanishing.
